DOOM TOWN NEWS

The 7 inch was pressed this week!
It should be making it's way across the pond very soon.

RECORDING
We're recording a whole new set of songs (most of which we haven't played out yet) in two weeks for a new demo. Hoping to have it done in time for our December 10th show!

NEW SHIRTS
We've got new t-shirts available now. We'll be toting them around at upcoming shows so don't hesitate. Made by awesome Kansas City screen printing duo Danni and Jordan at Oddities Prints

STILL GOT A FEW OF THESE SHIRTS LEFT, TOO:

UPCOMING SHOWS

November 3rd, Pop's Blue Moon - we'll be playing "Bob's Scratchy Showcase" a monthly party put on by St. Louis' legendary proto-punk frontman, photographer and host of 88.1FM's wild "Bob's Scratchy Records", Bob Reuter.

December 10th at David Lynch's wet-dream venue EL LENADOR with CRUDDY from Austin - KBD-influenced, rowdy, distorted punk in the vein of Reatards and Pagans. Also playing are St. Louis' very own SHAVED WOMEN whom were once described in a review as, 'equal parts hardcore and pigfuck noise rock"(?). Fingers crossed Carbondale IL's AUTONOMY will be making an appearance, too.

MORE WILL BE REVEALED/////Ashley

Everyone's talking about pogs.

We're really excited to announce that our friend Will Kinser will be releasing our 7 inch record soon on his new label New Dark Age, who have already released records by The Estranged and Spectres.

We are also recording additional material now and hope to have something to share by March.

We have a new drummer, Shaun Morrissey of The Humanoids.

Josh Levi of the RFT called us The Best Punk Band in St. Louis, which pissed off a lot of people.

Here are some shows we've played...

w/ Brain Idea & Bum Bag this Friday at Floating Laboratories (STL)

Brain Idea is from Chicago, fronted by St. Louisan Joe Wotteroth who'd previously fronted our Adversary Workers. Chicago is the midwest's well-dressed older brother. Well composed and educated, it's got a lot of experience, holds down a good job, beautiful girlfriend. It's earned your parent's respect. Fuck that place.

Bum Bag is surely from St. Louis, fronted by an acid burnout turned mortgager. There are punk-rock people in the band, but you won't call it punk. The best I can say is: Bum Bag is horribly futuristic.

It's at the beautiful Floating Labs, where Building R used to be. A man moved in and cleaned it up. It's a nice place, so mind your manners. Why can't you be more like your brother?

w/ Rundown & The Fins this Saturday at The Wedge (STL)

Saturday, May 22nd at The Wedge (442 Bates St)
Rundown - A mysterious group, they've been together for a few years and played only a handful of shows. Members of Formaldahyde Junkies, half of Doom Town, and the poetic Joe Sulier of Get Born fame on vocals. They closed the end of Rob Ruzicka's 30th Bday Fest last month and it looks like they're deciding to play regularly. Ya can't pin 'em down, ya shan't miss em.

The Fins - The Collinsville/Belleville/O'Fallon Triangle has been bringing our town some of the best punk bands of the past few years: Sweet Tooth/Trenchfoot/Shaved Women/Whompers. This is their surf band, with the talented members of these good bands playing the wrong instruments. They'll ruin your girlfriend's day at the beach.
